Gattca is one of the movies that captured my heart while watching it. it features an imperfect man, Vincent that had his data all collected the moment he is born. he had a heart disease and was expected to die at the age of 32. his dream of flying off to space would never be come true. in Gattca, advanced technology is used to mend 'defects' of e DNA system in a human. one can use another person's DNA and disguise as that person without being discovered. babies can be created with modern technology. they wont have any defects of diseases when they grow up and they can be perfect human beings. however, no privacy would be given to you when u worked in gattaca. every moves u made would be spyed on and everyone would be like robots.
i am not really for e amending of DNA using modern technology. the treatment would be expensive and those who could not afford it would be seen as 'imperfect' and would be discriminated. everyone will be the same and there would not be a unique you.
